Ford has made significant changes to powertrains, colors, and packages for 2027 — from a new Carhartt Package to expanded Tremor availability to a reshuffled color lineup. Here is what you need to know to ensure your lot is getting optimal Super Duty configurations for 2027. You can find all the changes in the 2027 Order Guide.

2027 Super Duty Engines

Ford has consolidated the previous four engine options for Super Duty into just two. The engines available for 2027 are 7.3L “Godzilla” gas and 6.7L High Output diesel. 6.8L gas and 6.7L diesel (not High Output) are out.

The ratio of gas to diesel consumers won’t change, so order gas and diesels at your normal rate.

Colors

Iconic Silver (JS) is back for the first time since 2025. We anticipate this will be a popular color, particularly on XLT work trucks.

Neptune Blue (CD) replaces Argon Blue and will likely remain as popular.

Avalanche (DR) is now unavailable. Avalanche was a popular color on Super Duty, particularly in the West.

Carhartt Package

New for 2027 is the Carhartt Package, available only on Crew Cab SRW XLT.

The Carhartt Package includes exterior enhancements (painted grille, rocker and tailgate graphics, body-color bumpers), an upgraded Carhartt theme interior, new wheels, and some freestanding options (running boards, clearance lights, spray-in bedliner).

The Carhartt Package will be more popular in some regions than others. It costs $4,195, so consider ordering with XLT Premium as well.

Tremor

Tremor is available on XL for 2027. Practice caution ordering a $4,450 MSRP package on the cheapest trim. Avoid ordering on XL Chrome work trucks.

Tremor is also available on 176” WB on Crew Cabs, previously only available on 160”. This will be popular in market areas where 176” is already high demand.

As it’s available on XL and 176” WB, Tremor is now available on every trim, engine, and Crew Cab wheelbase. This broader availability may affect the take rate of FX4, although we don’t have data on this yet.

Conclusion

Keeping up with model year changeovers on Super Duty is a lot of work. Knowing what to order in a new model year is tough when you don’t know how they’re going to sell. That’s where Precision Inventory Management comes in. We anticipate model year changeovers and predict which configurations will sell well and which will not. We watch the data as the model year goes on, making sure our dealers continue to get the hottest units—from MY changeovers and beyond.
