WBDO OTD Settings

A screen shot of WBDO showing where to find the OTD Order Preferences page.

Navigating WBDO can be difficult, but there are certain steps you can take to make ordering easier.

WBDO's default setting is to load recommended or SIMS orders into the order banks after OTD week 1 with data-driven configurations. Typically, it isn't exactly what we would describe as ideal. There is a setting in WBDO that will change that.

If you navigate to the top right drop-down menu (next to the Help button) and select OTD Order Preferences, you can set "Yes" to all OTD vehicle lines.

When recommended orders get loaded into your order bank the following OTD week 2, they will be loaded with the most basic configuration available—there won’t be any hidden options you have to seek out and remove. You then add features and options from there.

Warning: When selecting multiple units on the same vehicle line during OTD week 1, we often see identical or nearly identical SIMS units generated from those selections. For example, if you choose this setting in WBDO and then select five Bronco Sport Big Bends in OTD week 1, they may load as five Big Bends without any options and all-black exteriors.

If you are not consistently managing your order banks, this might not be the best option for you.

Other WBDO Tips and Tricks

  1. Escapes—Ford hides moonroof on Active units in the options section. You won’t see it there. You can find out that it is on the order by looking at the pricing summary. To remove the moonroof, you must change the tires from TFQ to TER. This will prompt a message asking if you want to remove the moonroof. Hit "Yes," and you have successfully removed the moonroof.

  2. Changing Multiple Orders—If you select multiple orders, you can delete them simultaneously (excluding stock OTD, which you can't delete from WBDO yourself). You can also change order numbers and priority codes by typing in the starting number in the first line of your selection. WBDO will automatically fill in the remaining order numbers or priority codes sequentially.

  3. 99 Priority Codes on Bronco, F150, and Super Duty SIMS—You can set the priority code to 99 on these units to prevent scheduling. You can then maintain your order bank with the orders you want by placing new stock orders. Ford will automatically delete the SIMS orders later that week, but your orders will remain until they schedule, or you delete them.

  4. Duplicating Units—You can duplicate units in WBDO (excluding stock OTD) by selecting the unit, right-clicking, and selecting "Copy Unit." Input the quantity of copies, beginning order number, and priority of copies, and hit "OK."
