27MY Bronco, Ranger, Mustang—What Dealers Need to Know

Ford has made major changes to 27MY Bronco, Ranger, and Mustang. Engines, packages, interiors, and colors are all shifting. Here’s what you need to know before you place your orders.
2027 Bronco
Engines
The 3.0L EcoBoost V6 replaces the 2.7L and is available on Outer Banks, Badlands 4-door, and Heritage. The Wildtrak package gets the 3.0L as well.
New Series
RTR (2.3L, automatic only) and Filson (3.0L standard) is new for 2027. The Stroppe Edition is gone.
Options, Packages, Interior
Free Wheeling is available on Big Bend and the 60th Anniversary package is available on Outer Banks.
Outer Banks no longer offers leather. Mid (312A) now gets cloth, and Lux (314A) gets premium vinyl with power seats. On Badlands, the leather option (8V) is replaced by marine-grade vinyl (PV). If your customers have been asking for leather on these series, set expectations on the sales floor now.
Colors
Neptune Blue is new. Orange Fury and Velocity Blue are dropped. Avalanche Gray is no longer available on Outer Banks. Field Green and Iron Sands Copper are Filson-only.
2027 Ranger
Engines
The 3.0L EcoBoost replaces the 2.7L on Ranger and is available on XLT and Lariat 4x4.
Packages
Chrome and Sport Appearance Packages are dropped. Bronze Appearance Package and Luxury Package (54B) on Lariat and Raptor are new.
Decontenting
Some features that were standard on Lariat and Raptor now move into the Lux Package. Ordering without it means less content than last year at the same trim, so factor the Lux Package into your Lariat and Raptor mix.
Interior
Raptor loses leather. Seats are now ActiveX with no leather option available.
Colors
Neptune Blue is new. Carbonized Gray and Velocity Blue are dropped. Space Gray replaces Sandstone as the light interior color.
2027 Mustang
New Package
Wheel and Stripe Package is new on EcoBoost.
Colors
Precision Purple is now available. Vapor Blue and Blue Ember are discontinued.
Decontenting
Rain-sensing wipers, integrated turn signals in the mirrors, and some hard door trim on 200A are gone.
